What a Wonderful World Now!

What a Wonderful World Now is local movement of empowerment giving work purpose and hope for people with disabilities.

Crossing Cultures in its own small way has a policy of hiring people with disabilities as contractors to help them to develop their own micro business. We feel this is a definite hope for people with needs that must be accommodated. Barriers to employment, especially for those with significant mental health concerns, are many. We need to build wheel chair ramps for the mind, for example working from 1 pm till 8 pm, if mornings are a hard reality.

Our contractors keep us going and they come when we need them. A flexible as-needed work force has helped us in ways that have been invaluable.

The most valuable untapped resources we have in our local area are the gifts and abilities of people with disabilities. One person who worked for us actually served the Queen and was a chef at the Hilton Hotel in London England! Like soooooooooo many people right here in our community who are waiting for an opportunity to use their abilities, he was an untapped resource.
